Which One Do You Want to Work For?
The ability to recognize the difference between a boss and a leader can have a tremendous impact on your job satisfaction. Work is already full of stressful situations, would you rather work for a leader who can coach and prepare you, as opposed to a boss who demands that the work gets done no matter what?
A study conducted by Gallup found that one in every two working adults have left their job because of their boss. This study goes on to explain that “employees who feel as though their manager is invested in them as people are more likely to be engaged” (State of the American Manager, Gallup). Working for a leader who is dedicated to developing others and recognizes your accomplishments will be more rewarding and impactful to your professional career.
